I have been neglecting the blog of late…

<< PLEASE INSERT A PARAGRAPH OF LAME EXCUSES AND MOANS ABOUT THE DETRIMENTAL IMPACTS OF MY REAL LIFE ON MY HOBBY LIFE >>

However, I have finally managed to find a moment or two to myself.  It is therefore time to get some of the things that I have managed to get done, into electronic print!

I have not been idle, even if I have been effectively ‘off line’.

A fair bit of time has been spent on getting the Shattered Stormvault all built and cleaned up.

It is a huge chunk of plastic when it is all set up.  It also has a surprisingly varied selection of setup options.  Sadly those options mean that you cannot just stick it together and keep those options open…

So, it was time to break out the magnets and get a few stuck on in hopes of ensuring that all those options can be used.

Twenty four magnets later and I had finished the base of just one plinth…

Thats before even putting the magnets onto any of the the sixteen columns…

The reason it takes so much time is the need to offer a position for each of the columns above.  To ensure that it stays in place, each column needs at least 2 magnets to hold it securely on the steps…

Overall, I placed 130 magnets on this kit.  None of which will be on show themselves.

Those are the lengths we go to for our hobbies…
