Another unit that needed to be completed before the massed basing run could start, was a small mortar from Citadel.
This was initially bought when Age Of Sigmar came out. I started playing a few games hoping to get some use out of my Old Empire Army. I picked up a bundle from eBay of broken and half painted cannon and crew. This was in the pack and never touched. Until today.
It now sits, pride of place, with its brother on a set of nice new bases and, if I say so myself, it shows off the new army basing style quite nicely.
But hang on… Whats this just turned up? Could it be a Dragon?

The Old Empire cannons, mortars and crew from most editions of Warhammer are very well done and match nicely, despite their wildly varying ages. The cannon is from the 1990’s the mortar from about 2010… Lots of character.
